My stupid parents have decided to take another trip without me. I knew something was up when they started packing again last night: they were sneaking around and shoving clothes into their bags, trying to be all surreptitious about it, but I caught on! I actually jumped into my Daddy's suitcase and sat on his clothes.
Mommy says they are going for a week to Belize for a live-aboard diving trip. When they told me that, I agreed with them -- I would stay home and guard the house. Diving is totally crazy, I mean you get WET when you go underwater!
So, I want everyone to feel bad for me (even though I will be having a pretty good time with our house/pug sitter) so my parents will be guilted into bringing me a souvenir.

Poor puggy! Make sure to look real pitiful for the house sitter and maybe they will give you lots of extra treats!

Oh, Poor Frances! You did almost trick us with our Secret Santa package. When we looked at the postmark, we say "NY, we don't know any pugs in NY." But the return address gave it away. Thanks again!

Whoah! That sounds like no fun! I hate being wet too. I guess you get a wet suit thingy, but I also don't like to wear clothes. I'm so sorry they are leaving you! Pack yourself up in a fed-ex box, and mail yourself to my house. I'll even share my Christmas presents with you!

The advantage to having a pug-sitter is that they usually fall hard for it when you tell them you're FAMISHED and they give awesome walkies. So you can totally live it up while the parents are away!
