Tagged

I have been tagged by both Lex and Sophie and Dixie! Here are the rules:

1. write your own six word memoir
2. post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you'd like
3. link to the person that tagged you in your post, and to the original post if possible, so we can track it as it travels across the blogosphere
4. tag at least five more blogs with links
5. don't forget to comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play
6. have fun

Fearless, destructive, intelligent, adorable Alaskan pug

Need I say more?

I am going to bend the rules a bit and tag anyone who wants to play.

Meet my new victim

I was such a good puggy over the weekend that my parents gave me a new victim, er, toy. This unfortunate bunny is a gift from my Grandmother. Thanks Grandma!

Awww, isn't he cute?

Prepare to get de-stuffed!

Whales . . . who cares?

It has been beautiful, but chilly here these past few days. The sun is gloriously shining, but temps still dip to the mid-20s at night . . . brrrr! But the sunshine seems to be bringing out all the critters: Mommy and Daddy saw humpback whales this morning while eating breakfast! Daddy put up a hummingbird feeder, and we have had several of those little birds drop by and take a sip of the sweet stuff. Mommy saw a woodpecker with a fluff of red feathers on its head yesterday, and the eagles have been screaming their beaks off (mating season?). My parents seem to be excited about all these sightings . . . Me? This is what I think of all this:

Whew!

I am one exhausted puggy! My guests left on Friday, and after three weeks of entertaining both the German Shepherd and his human, I need a vacation. It's not easy being a good hostess, you know, making sure your guests have been fed, that they are comfortable, and taking them to all the tourist spots. I was able to show Ohren all the hot spots where only the cool dogs are allowed to poop and pee.
This is me after Daddy drove them to the airport. I am taking a well-deserved break.

I am on my favorite pillow -- the one my Grandmother made for me! I love sitting on it AND I haven't peed on it . . . yet

My parents thought I was being so good, they got me a new bag to put all my toys in. And it has my name on it also!

Lazy Weekend

Hope everyone had a good weekend. The weather was pretty crappy here: raining sheets, windy, and grey all three days. It only became partly cloudy Sunday night. So, yours truly spent a lazy weekend doing nothing at home except lounging around.
Me doing nothing at all . . . I was too tired to nap

Me and Daddy being lazy together. I apologize for the gratuitous nudity (kids cover your eyes)

Sidekick

Well, I am pleased to say that Ohren and I are becoming fast friends. I take that back, he is more like my sidekick: the Robin to my Batman. But Frances, you say, aren't German Shepherds supposed to be a smart breed? Ah, my fans, that is where a myth has been erroneously propagated throughout time . . . Look at what Shepherds are used for: police work, search-and-rescue, guard dogs, etc. Reason it out people, that all takes HARD WORK. Years of training in dangerous conditions, all for a pat on the head or a "good dog" comment or maybe even a medal of some sort. Compare that to pugs: the hardest activity we engage in is looking cute, and from there we get hugs, kisses, and treats. So who is the smarter breed, eh?
Me and my sidekick are politely requesting to have a taste of Daddy's ice cream

Peanut Butter!

My darling mother (dripping sarcasm here) decided to post quite un-glorious pictures of me trying to get the remnats out of the peanut butter jar. I always claim to be a ferocious pug, but these pictures seem to reduce me to a begging-for-scraps breed of canine.
I am abashed at being caught like this . . .

My nose just needs to be a little bit longer . . . can't quite reach the bottom of the jar . . .

Birthday Recap

So I turned two years old Friday, and boy was it exciting! Daddy gave me a brand new baby (aka stuffed toy), which I prompty destroyed (that's how I roll). Then for dinner -- voila! -- there was half a pork chop cut into tiny cubes mixed in with my normal kibble. One word: yummmm! And then, to top it off, Mommy made me a birthday cake from a recipe she found on Gizmo and Gadget's website. It was made from flour, carrots, honey, and peanut butter. She topped it off with strawberry yogurt (did I mention I LOVE yogurt?!), double yummmmm! I thought she could have decorated the cake and put my name on it or something, but I overheard Mommy tell Daddy something about I wouldn't know the difference . . .
This is my delectable cake. Kind of plain jane without any decorations or candles

I am giving it my patented sniff-test. Smells okay . . . alright, if you force me to eat it, I'll eat it!

I thought I was going to get the whole cake, but as you can see, I got cheated and only received a slice. But Mommy put it on a human plate . . . snazzy!

Non-flattering close-up of me with yogut on my lips

Of course, I had to share the cake with our doggy guest, Ohren. I also saw my parents sneak a bite; I think they said it was pretty bland. What do humans know?! -- it had peanut butter and yogurt, and that is enough for me. Mommy also took a slice to Logan, my labrador friend who lives next door. I think that it too much sharing of MY birthday cake . . .

Birthday Tomorrow

I have waited 364 days for tomorrow to arrive!! It is my birthday tomorrow, and I will be two years old! My parents say that they can't wait until I am out of my teen years, but I think I have been quite well-behaved; I mean, I haven't started smoking, I haven't gotten pregnant, and I haven't crashed the car . . . yet.

I requested an entire pork chop for my birthday meal tomorrow; Mommy just said "We'll see", but Daddy gave me the wink-wink which means pork chop and a birthday cake!!

I hope tomorrow comes soon . . .

Enjoying the beach

It has been remarkably beautiful weather here recently (still a bit nippy, though), so we decided to bring our guests to Herring Cove at low tide.

Yours truly frolicking on the beach. I think this is a flattering picture of me, with my ears flopping in the air

I ain't going no deeper into that water!

The Odd Couple: me and Ohren

I was trying to catch up to the horse, er, German Sheperd. At least my tongue doesn't hang out so ungracefully when I am running . . .
