Go Away Mr. IRS Man

Mommy was not happy today. She received a letter from the IRS people saying that they had reviewed her 2005 taxes, and she owes them more money. What made her angry was that she has an accountant do her taxes, and apparently, they missed a good portion of her income that year. And then Mommy started ranting about compounding fines and penalties and interest payments . . . I didn't know what the big deal was until she told me that we would have to cut down on my treats and stuffed babies for awhile. What?! Totally not fair! I wasn't even born that year -- not even a twinkle in my pug mommy's eye! But Daddy pulled me aside and reassured me that I shoudn't worry -- I can still live the life of a spoiled pug. Thank goodness for fathers.

And then, Mommy was sad because it gets so dark here early. She was working and looked out her window and saw it was pretty dark; she thought it was like 8pm. But she checked her watch and it was only 3:30pm! Talk about seasonal depression! I don't mind because I nap most of the day anyway.

Daddy was trying to cheer Mommy up by giving me the Princess Leia look.

That is a bummer indeed! Is the Accountant not liable for mistakes?

Talk about bummers: I would normally go wave this in the accountant's face, but he died last year of a heart attack.

Wow! A wild Alaskan Mountain Pug is way cooler than being a Boulder, Colorado Mountain Pug. :)
It is nice to meet you!

We are sorry your parents are having to deal with this IRS man. Taxes are frustrating enough without this. But we are glad that you get to still live the life of a spoiled pug!!

It's dark at 3:30? We heard it gets that way in Alaska. Our Mom wants to visit Alaska someday!!

So Sorry to hear about your problems with the IRS man. And the accountant. I hope your mom can straighten it out without paying too many fines.
Mom's brother lives in Hood River. He looks out his window and sees Mount Hood on one side and Mount Adams on the other.

Yikes - I know nothing of this IRS business but it sounds lame-o. My mom does know of the IRS and says it's getting dark here by 4:30 and can't stand it so she empathizes with your mommy! Still though, we would love to visit you in Alaska one day! If only.

We don't want to hear from the tax man at all. boo hiss. Looking at your sweet face should do the trick for your mama. I can't imagine having so much dark time every day for months. Does your mom like to read?

Happy Thanksgiving.
Lucky cuddles with the boy, but I cuddle with MOM! That works for me.

That always stinks when your momma's accountant passes away. Sorry to hear that the short Alaskan days are so short. Maybe if she got a cat she would feel much better! Cats are always more fun. Ask your uncle.
